I *gulp* like football

Well, I'm Mr Popular this weekend...hehehe

I'm mentioned in three (count them, THREE) different diaries.

Nicole has a crush on me.

Liz and Kris think I'm cool.

At the same time, I'm back down to 24 people listing me as a favourite diary.

:-(

Whoever you are, make up your mind, please, you're making me dizzy.

Now, back to the issue at hand.

On SATURDAY night (6/6/01: I had to correct that, it was Saturday night, not Friday, sorry Paul), I went to an AFL (Australian Football League) game. And I loved it.

Take a second while the full profundity of what I've just written sinks in.

AFL. As in football.

Me.

I enjoyed it.

Okay, let me explain.

I am so not a sport person. I would rather roll around in a bed of metal shards and vinegar than show an interest in sport - most of all football.

(I like volleyball, soccer and gymnastics - but they get so little airplay they may as well not exist at all.)

But on Friday night, I went to an AFL game, simply because I'd never been before, and thought it was about time I did. And it was so much fun!

The game was quick, and tactical. Exciting to watch, and this particular game was a thrill right down to the last second.

(ooh, listen to me - I'm gushing like a schoolgirl - next thing I'll be cooing about their butts inside the tiny tiny shorts...hahaha)

In other news, I met Phik and Krista-Bella and Nizbet on Friday. It was a fun day - they were even nice enough to 'escort' me to Chermside, even though they had to spend most of the time sitting outside an office building while I ran back and forth (in a headless chicken fashion).
